⠂This 이_ 이것this thing_ 이 사람this person_이 모자this hat

⠂It/the 그_ 그것 the thing_ 그 사람the person_그 모자the hat

⠂여기here / 저기there/ 거기over there

⠄'그' is used when the thing/person is located nearer to the listener or not in the conversation spot any more.

'Noun+ -은/는' used to indicative the topic of the sentence

⠂Noun ending with consonant + 은: 제 이름은/ 이 사람은

⠂Noun ending with vowel + 는: 저는/ 제 친구는

*이것은→ 이건, 저것은→ 저건, 그것은→ 그건
